This Privacy Policy explains how Ask The Elect ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the mobile application. The App is operated by Ammon Hunter. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
Speech-to-text transcription and summarization are performed on our own servers using self-hosted, open-source models. Your raw audio recordings are not sent to any third-party AI provider.
To provide semantic search and the AI assistant ("agent search") over your transcripts — and to generate the text embeddings that power meaning/timestamp search during processing — transcript text and short derived excerpts are sent to Google Cloud Vertex AI (Google's Gemini and text-embedding models). Vertex AI is operated by Google as an infrastructure sub-processor under the Google Cloud / Firebase data-processing terms (see Section 4); under those terms your content is not used to train Google's foundation models. We do not send your content to any other AI provider (such as OpenAI or Anthropic).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your uploaded content for advertising.
The App runs on Google Cloud Platform / Firebase, which act as our infrastructure sub-processors. Specifically:
Data is processed and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure (primarily in the United States). Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Cloud and Firebase data processing terms.
We retain your account information, uploaded media, and derived content indefinitely — for as long as your account exists — so your library stays available to you. We do not impose an automatic expiry. You remain in control: you can delete individual items or your entire account at any time (see Section 7), and you can ask us to delete your data. When you do, we delete the associated content promptly, except where short-term retention is required by law.
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and security rules restricting each user's data to their own account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data and uploaded content. To delete your account and associated data, email us at the address below and we will process your request. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
